About Amanda

A native Columbian, I have been active in the early childhood community since 1998. My experience ranges from center based programs to family home child care. I believe that mid-Missouri families deserve to choose from a variety of quality programs for their young children. I hope to support early childhood programs in their business development, freeing them to focus on the care and education of our children. 
I have experience in licensing center based and family home child care, working with the USDA Child Nutrition Program, contracting with the State of Missouri for Child Care Subsidy, and applying for and receiving grant funding. 
I am an outspoken advocate for early childhood professionals, and have testified before state legislators on behalf of Family Home Child Care providers. I believe that child care is the backbone of Missouri's workforce, and hope to enhance the work of the incredible professionals in this field by lessening the burden of paperwork and regulatory requirements.
